3D Desserts: ecommerce website design for an artisan confectionery

3D Desserts is an artisan confectionery in Malta creating hyper-realistic, gluten-free fruit-shaped desserts. They needed an ecommerce website design with a B2C ecommerce flow customers could navigate and order through easily. We built the site with a user-friendly CMS, cart and checkout, inventory, payments, and a newsletter.

The Challenge
3D Desserts is a artisan confectionery in St. Paul's Bay, Malta, started by dessert artist Kate. Every piece is sculpted by hand to look like real fruit, and everything is gluten-free.
When the business started, sales ran through Instagram and direct messages. Every piece is made to order, and each order took messages back and forth. Kate wanted her own online store.
They needed an online store that was easy to browse and order from, product showcases for desserts that look like the real thing, and a checkout customers can complete without sending a message.

Each dessert has its own product page with the price and the ingredients, and the newsletter signup tells customers when new collections arrive. Through the CMS, Kate manages the products and content herself.
